Will he get any permanent disability benefits while working on a modified job?
It states that permanently disabled employees get either a lump sum or partial payment in California. Anyone have any idea of if this is going to happen now that he is

I just had back fusion surgery and will be out of work for a few months. Is there any rule to prevent me from recovering in another less expensive state while still collecting State Disability Insurance payments? - Resolved Question: Do you need to report state disability insurance?
(Fri, 01 Feb 2008 05:48:44 GMT)
California disability insurance state :
My wife was on disability for about 8 weeks due to pregnancy. We have a tax appointment this weekend but I have not received the 1099G form for disability only Family leave act. Will she get the 1099 or not? I looked on the SDI for california and it does not mention anything about having to report it. Paid Family Leave does say that the money will be reported and you will get the 1099G but disability does not mention anything. Before I call my tax guy or the state does anybody know anything ab
- Resolved Question: One of my employees needs to have surgery on his kidney. What kind of benefits is he eligible for?
(Sat, 17 Nov 2007 00:43:43 GMT)
California disability insurance state :
We are located in the State of California. He has been employed with us for five years and he is paid $12/hour. His medical insurance is paying for the surgery, minus a small deductible, but he is still concerned with wage losses.
I am familiar with the FMLA but that does not pay a benefit. I know he is eligible for state disability. Where can I find out what amount of money he can expect?
What else can he do to offset his wages lost?
- Resolved Question: Returning to work after California State Disability Insurance ends...?
(Tue, 13 Nov 2007 20:57:23 GMT)
California disability insurance state :
My SDI ends in 2 weeks. My boss continued to pay me for 3 weeks after I became ill. I did not ask for this. I explained to her that I did not need the money since I was applying for disability benefits and I am fortunate enough to have an emergency savings account to support myself. Now she wants me to return to work when she's ready since she has to figure out MY schedule after 10 years of service (I have always worked an 8 hr shift 5 days a week) AND the schedule of a â??tempâ? she wants to

- Resolved Question: Purchasing insurance to cover maternity leave in California?
(Wed, 03 Oct 2007 18:35:02 GMT)
California disability insurance state :
Is there any sort of insurance you can buy in California so you can get approximately your regular wages during your unpaid maternity leave? I've heard that state disability doesn't pay too much. And how long can you take off? Some women say they've gotten 3 months off but I don't know what I need to do to get that, and still have approximately my regular income coming in. I'm not pregnant yet, so I could buy something without having a pre-existing condition. Thanks!
- Resolved Question: Are rates for disability insurance different in different states?
(Tue, 31 Jul 2007 03:43:00 GMT)
California disability insurance state :
To clarify: I own Guardian own-occupation disability insurance, which was initiated in California. Given a recent income increase, I am eligible to exercise a rider to increase my disability coverage. Are my premiums going to go up a different amount if I increase my coverage through my agent in CA than if I increase it through a different agent, say, in Ohio? Are these riders and insurance premiums nationally uniform for personal disability insurance plans through Guardian?

- Resolved Question: Is W-2 Box14 entry for CASDI (California State Disability Insurance)a valid claim on Form1040 Sched A Line5?
(Sun, 18 Mar 2007 18:20:48 GMT)
California disability insurance state :
Instructions for Line5 say to include "Mandatory contributions made to California, New Jersey, or New York Nonoccupational Disability Benefit Fund, Rhode Island Temporary Disability Benefit Fund, or Washington State Supplemental Workmen's Compensation Fund" which seems vague at best. I have scoured the web for information addressing this question. CASDI is certainly mandatory.

Hello. I have Aspergers Syndrome and it is not a real "mental disorder". It is a neurological disorder of the brain. People with AS -their brians are wired differently. I need to find out if people with AS in the State of California can claim disability. I am not talking about SSI or Social Security Disability Insurance. That is the Federal level and I am only asking about the state level. AS is a high functioning Autism and I don't do well socially. I guess you can call it a "social difficu

- Resolved Question: What states are the most disability-friendly?
(Sun, 28 May 2006 17:44:33 GMT)
California disability insurance state :
I have a young son with spina bifida, and he has maxed out private insurance coverage. He is currently covered in California by the Medi-Cal system and has been treated at excellent hospitals, but I will be applying to law schools soon and want to be absolutely sure that whatever state we move to has the medical resources to accomodate him, as well as a generally disability-friendly attitude among the public. Are there any states in particular to avoid, or any that truly sparkle?
