Fed employees first hired after December 31, 1983, are automatically covered under FERS and Social Security.

Due to the amount of Federal CSRS retirement income that I will receive and the 3 for 2 offset that will be assessed against social security benefits that I may be eligible for, I will never receive any social security benefits. Since I can never receive any social security benefits, is there a way to opt of paying into a system that I will never be eligible to receive benefits from.
