- Resolved Question: I think there's a conspiracy against me?
(Tue, 10 Jun 2008 03:21:15 GMT)
Federal retirement :
I became unemployed/retired November 2007. I applied for unemployment insurance benefits. They denied it and I appealed. I won the appeal. Within one week of me winning my appeal I had the California Franchise Tax board investigating my past filing claims. Funny thing is I was a Texas resident during the years they were investigating. They claimed I should have submitted a tax return and I said WHY?!?!?! I'm a TX resident!!!
Anyways, when I beat those bastards the Federal Government s

My husband and I are both in our 30's and he makes a little over 100K working for the federal government. I'm concerned that we aren't saving enough for retirement, but he doesn't seem worried because of his pension. I have a couple of questions about this.
First how do you calculate what your federal pension would be? I know it's based on the 3 highest salaried years you have, but beyond that I don't know.
Second if he passes away before me will I continue to recieve his pension unti
