(Tue, 10 Jun 2008 21:49:46 GMT)
Invest for retirement :
Is it wise to build an income porfolio to help pay for bills so I dont have to worry about them too much?
Like for college loans?
I am 21 and JUST starting out in the world of investing. It seems like a good idea to build two porfolio's, one based on retirement goals and another based on passive income. Over the years I would contribute to both and use them diffrently.
any advice?

I just started investing with a 401k back in late September 2007. Since then the market, of course, has been quite volatile. My 401k is a little less than the sum total of my contributions so far. I keep telling myself the market is at a discount right now and that's a good thing...but this is a mindset that is going to have to develop over time.
