Our country continues to be spit more religiously, politically, and economically, yet we have plenty of solutions to the problem, and most of them are ignored. Resolved Question: Could I have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder?
(Mon, 06 Sep 2010 14:26:17 GMT)
I'm 65 years old. I worked in the factory at a major aerospace company for 30 years, mostly as a line level supervisor. During my time there I was drafted into the military, went on a military leave of absence, and served in Vietnam in the Army. I was in the military for only two years. My problem is that now, (more than 10 years into retirement from the aerospace job), I have recurring nightmares abou

I'm going to be enlisting in the Marines wanting to be Infantry. I'm have no idea of I'm going to want to make a career in the Marines or not. And while I was thinking about it, it occurred to me that the age range to enlist is fairly low. And to be able to retire from the Military and get retirement pay, you have to serve for at least 20 years. Resolved Question: Military Retired (20yrs) and VA Disability Lump Sum?

I retired from the Navy 3 years ago after 20 years of active duty service. I receive 10% disability from the VA at $123 a month which is then subtracted from my retirement pay.
I work with many former military members who did not retire, but were medically discharged. I am on TDRL (temporary disabled retirement list) from the military. I have a 10% disability rating from the AF and the VA. This disability (migraine headaches, developed after 5 months in the AF) causes me to miss work. There is medical documentation proving my disability. In a typical month, I might miss 1 or 2 days, but over the course of 13 months, there was only 1 month that I missed 4 days.

Resolved Question: Is gay marriage a matter of equality or failed requirement?
(Sat, 24 Jul 2010 23:38:16 GMT)
And one does indeed have to qualify for marriage; just as one has, for example, to qualify for a pension or a military medal. People who have not reached the age of retirement don’t qualify for a pension, people who don’t serve in the armed forces don’t qualify for a military medal. It’s not a question of equality but requirement. A human right is intrinsic, a social institution is not.
The four great and historic qualifications for marriage always have been number, gender, age and blood. T

Resolved Question: Can military service be counted towards the GS/Step in the Federal Government?
(Tue, 13 Jul 2010 20:14:28 GMT)
Specifically, how much more or less will I be earning compared to my civilian counterparts who went Fed instead of joining the military?
I know that military service can be counted towards retirement and that they are given a preference, but I couldn't find much about the pay.
