(Mon, 09 Jun 2008 06:56:08 GMT)
Retirement cards :
My ex pays child support directly to me at $100.00 a week. He earns around $550.00 a week and lives at home with his father. He also has approximately $20,000.00 in retirement savings he can cash in when he retires in 30 years time. Meanwhile, I drive a $2,000.00 car and have no savings of my own. I'm also

Retirement cards :
I am going to be 28 this year and I have about 15000 of funds in my employer sponsored 401K. I am currently in debt though I have a plan to knock it out next year thereby reducing the funds I send to Satan's spawn each month (the credit card companies). I am thinking about starting a Roth IRA next year as well as I understand you can withdraw the money anytime you may need it (such as an emergency, job loss, etc). With the Roth IRA and the contributions to the 401K, I would be saving a comb
- Open Question: My Aunt's adult son won't stop stealing from her!?
(Sat, 07 Jun 2008 11:35:21 GMT)
Retirement cards :
My 78 year old widowed Aunt's 51 year old son lives with her. I hate that he constantly steals from her. He takes money and credit cards from her purse, sells almost anything in the house. My Aunt is a devout catholic, I think this is the main reason she hasn't kicked the jerk out of her house. He's not retarded, has a part-time job, but is a drunk and complete looser.
I get so mad when she calls and tells us that she can't find her credit card, or her purse. Then he mysteriously 'finds' it.

The first fall of a horse is mandatory retirement.
If a rider is apparently injured or concussed, they must be examined by a medical professional to determine if they can continue or ride another horse.

- Resolved Question: Should I cash out my 401k to pay off credit card debt?

Retirement cards :
I recently lost my job and my new job pays about $1300 less each month than the last one. I also have $15k in credit card debt. The cards are all cut up, the accounts are closed, and everything was fine, but based on my old budget.
I am 26 years old and have $23k in my 401k from my last job. I'm wondering if it's a good idea

- Resolved Question: Saving for retirement?
(Sat, 12 Apr 2008 14:05:20 GMT)
Retirement cards :
I was wondering what my best options would be as a 23 year old to start saving for retirement? I've been looking into 401k plans, but I really don't understand that much about them.
I only want to put in $200 a month right now since I'm paying off credit cards and student loans. I gross almost $41000 a year, and I'm keeping a strict budget till my debts are paid off, which should only take about 1yr-18mo if I keep my goal of paying off $800 a month towards it.
