(Tue, 10 Jun 2008 23:46:28 GMT)
Retirement income :
I may be relocating so I'm renting until I know where I'll be. I'm hoping to have a home almost paid off by retirement. I'm planning on living on 30% of my income... regardless, I am very concerened about supporting my family. It seems like everything is hand to mouth and then once I get ahead, another unexpected happens! Just life I guess.....
- Open Question: Income porfolio?
(Tue, 10 Jun 2008 21:49:46 GMT)
Retirement income :
Is it wise to build an income porfolio to help pay for bills so I dont have to worry about them too much?
Like for college loans?
I am 21 and JUST starting out in the world of investing. It seems like a good idea to build two porfolio's, one based on retirement goals and another based on passive income. Over the years I would contribute to both and use them diffrently.
any advice?
- Open Question: Would Obama start the next GREAT DEPRESSION?
(Tue, 10 Jun 2008 17:52:23 GMT)
Retirement income :
I already am seeing ads for rich people to put businesses and money offshore.
I think people would literally dig a hole in their back yard to save their money, as Obama wants to tax retirement savings (no, not just the interest, the savings themselves).
His tax rates will put local small businesses out of business.
And his supporters say it can't get any worse?
Ever wonder why he wants to prefill out tax forms? Because Big Brother will be watching your income (and the internet) more harshly

Interest on savings is considered income which is taxed; savings is most definetely taxed.
