Last month, my boss asked me to leave my current position as there will be newcomer to replace my post. He offered me a job to the other company because that's my only option. - Voting Question: Why can't America replace income tax with a sales tax?
(Fri, 16 May 2008 00:36:19 GMT)
Retirement plan service :
Actually a flat sales tax WOULD be much more consistent with what the Founding Fathers initially had in mind. At the time, there were tariff taxes and no income taxes until World War I.
Sales Tax concept:
Your income belongs to you, you earned it, nobody else. Consider it to be an automatic IRA retirement fund.
To keep only necessary government services in operation (things only a government can do, like pave roads, defense, establish justice), we will tax dollars only when spent.

(Thu, 24 Apr 2008 18:36:35 GMT)
Retirement plan service :
I have a friend that works for a university. In the university's 403(b) plan, if you are over the age of 26, and are a full time employee you can contribute to a plan in which the university matches/contributes at 8%. Otherwise, you can still defer salary into a 403(b) plan, but with no contribution from the university.
This seems to be blatant illegal age discrimination. Basing contributions on the age of the employee, rather than years of service doesn't seem possibly right. Also, every
